Mission Trip Registration

MM Hawaii 7/22

Mission 22’ is the south campus high school mission trip to Hawaii. We are going to be leading a summer camp for a few churches, VBS’ styled day camps as well as general ministry needs as they arise. The dates for this trip are still in flex give or take a day or 2 but for planning purposes you can set aside July 17th-July 31st as the window we could be gone for 10-14 days. We will be traveling to Hawaii, specifically the island of Oahu, where we will partner with our own south campus Global Partner (GP’s) the Bruno’s and several churches they have connections to within the Hawaiian island chains. The challenge may be in thinking we are just going to Hawaii to play, this could not be farther from the truth. Yes, plenty of fun will be had, but the spiritual needs in Hawaii are great. The culture is unique, a mix of cultures between Asia and America, consumeristic like many vacation destinations, cultural animistic beliefs, and extreme homelessness. These all make for an incredible eye-opening experience. Make no mistake, the challenges will be great but the eternal reward will be even greater.
